Q: What is LeuPay?

A: LeuPay is an E-wallet payment and financial product, which is a substitute to traditional bank services, suitable for individuals and companies. With LeuPay you can make money transfers all around the world 24/7/365, all by yourself, order prepaid cards, open different currency accounts, download transaction statements, manage your card preferences for payments and many more. LeuPay provides you with a bank grade safety and full control over your finances. Our product allows you to manage your money and finances directly online, irrelevant of time and place.

Q: How can I register a LeuPay account?

A: From LeuPay’s website: www.leupay.eu, press the "Join in" button and choose the type of account you would like to register, or directly go to the type of account you prefer (business or personal) and press the "Sign up" button. A registration page will be opened where you have to fill in your personal details. After you confirm your details, you will be registered and you will be ready to use your new LeuPay account.

Q: What is different about LeuPay payment and financial services?

A: LeuPay differs from bank services with the security, simplicity and low expenses for financial services such as card orders, issuance, internal, domestic and international money transfers, opening of multicurrency accounts and other, which it provides. Moreover, LeuPay provides full customer control over everyday finances and payments.

LeuPay Cards

Q: How can I get a LeuPay card?

A: You can order a LeuPay card online directly from your LeuPay account. All you need to do is:
1) Log in to your LeuPay account
2) From the main menu go to tab Cards → Order LeuPay Card and follow the instructions.

Q: In what currency can my LeuPay card be issued in?

A: At the moment LeuPay Card can be issued in one of the following currencies: GBP, USD, EUR, RON and BGN. We are working on offering you more currency options for LeuPay cards.

Q: I received my LeuPay card. How can I activate it?

A:

You can activate your LeuPay card in one of the following ways:

  • Online activation:
    Log in to your LeuPay account, go to tab Cards → Activate LeuPay Card.
  • Activation via LeuPay mobile app:
    Log in to the LeuPay Mobile App and go to LeuPay Cards → Activate Card.
  • SMS activation:
    Send SMS with text: leupay and the last 6 digits of your card number (example: leupay 123456), to number +359 886 17 00 11. Please note, that the SMS must be sent from your mobile number registered to your LeuPay account.

Once you activate your LeuPay card, you will receive a SMS with the PIN of your card.

Q: Where can I use my LeuPay card?

A: You can use your LeuPay card for online payments, payments at Merchants and ATM withdrawals worldwide, anywhere MasterCard is accepted.

Q: Can I have another LeuPay card issued on the name of another person?

A: Yes, you can. You can have up to 5 LeuPay Cards linked to your LeuPay account with one and the same or with different cardholders.

Q: Can I change the limits of my LeuPay card?

A:

You can set different limits for your LeuPay Card, including ATM withdrawals, payments on POS, Internet payments and international transactions. In order to do so, simply log in to your LeuPay Account, go to Cards and click on the Settings icon of your LeuPay card.

You can also change your LeuPay card limits from your smartphone using the free LeuPay Mobile App.

Q: I forgot my PIN. What should I do?

A:

If you have forgotten your PIN, please send SMS with text: leupay and the last 6 digits of your card number (example: leupay 123456), to number +359 886 17 00 11. Once you do so, you will receive SMS with your PIN.

Please note, that the SMS must be sent from your mobile number registered to your LeuPay account.

Q: I entered 3 wrong PINs and my LeuPay card got blocked. What should I do?

A: If you have blocked your LeuPay card, please contact our Customer Support.

A: How long will it take for the LeuPay card I ordered to be delivered?

Q:

The delivery period for an ordered card depends on the delivery method you selected in the process of placing your order. For the regular post delivery method the estimated delivery time is up to 15 days upon receipt of the money for issuing fee, upon your identification and verification.

The delivery period for the courier delivery method is 2 business days upon receipt of the money for issuing fee, delivery costs and upon your identification and verification.

Q: What is the delivery fee for LeuPay cards?

A:

The delivery fee depends on the delivery method you selected in the process of placing your order. The regular post delivery method is free of charge. The courier delivery method costs very between 20 and 100 EUR, depending on the country of delivery of the LeuPay card. If you choose the courier delivery option you will receive a separate e-mail with the exact courier charges to your country of delivery.

Please also note, in case the delivery is returned to LeuPay, due to wrong address or other reason, for which LeuPay or the delivery company is not responsible, LeuPay shall charge you with a cost for a second delivery via courier of 10.00 BGN.

Q: Can I receive my LeuPay card to another address different from the registered one in the account?

A: Yes, you can. In the process of ordering your card, you can point a delivery address different from the address registered in your LeuPay account.

Q: How can I dispute a card transaction made with my LeuPay Card?

A: In case you would like to dispute a card transaction made with your LeuPay card, please contact our Customer Support at your earliest convenience.

Q: Can I forbid/allow online transactions, international transactions and ATM transactions with my LeuPay card?

A:

You can forbid/allow online transactions, POS transactions, international transactions and ATM transactions online via your LeuPay account or via LeuPay mobile app.

To change the settings of your LeuPay card via Web, log in to your LeuPay account, go to Cards and click on the Settings icon LeuPay account - settings icon.

To change the settings of your LeuPay card via LeuPay mobile app log into to your LeuPay account via the app and go to LeuPay Cards → Security Settings.

Q: Can I get notifications about transactions made with my LeuPay card?

A:

You can choose to receive email and/or SMS notifications for transactions made with your LeuPay card. To allow the notifications for a certain type of transaction, simply log in to your LeuPay account, go to Cards, click on the Settings icon and go to tab Notifications.

You can also enable or disable notifications from your smartphone via the free LeuPay Mobile App.

Please be advised that email notifications are sent free of charge. For receiving SMS notifications small fees are applied. To view the full list of LeuPay fees, please log in to your LeuPay account and check the Tariff.

Q: Are there any transaction fees?

A: Payments at merchants and online payments are free of charge. For ATM transactions and bank transfers small fees are applied. To view the full list of LeuPay fees, please log in to your LeuPay account and check the Tariff.

Q: Will I be charged for a balance check?

A: You can check your balance for free online in your LeuPay account or via the free LeuPay mobile app. Balance checks at ATMs are subject to additional charges according to your Tariff. To view the full list of LeuPay fees, please check the Tariff.

LeuPay Account

Q: In what currencies can I have my LeuPay account?

A: Your LeuPay account can be created in the following currencies: EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, HRK, BGN, JPY and RON. You can open additional currency accounts in the main currency of your LeuPay account or in the other LeuPay supported currencies. On opening new accounts, you receive free IBANs for them.

Q: What do I need to do in order to verify my identity?

A: To verify your identity, please log in to your LeuPay account. On the main Account page click the Pending verification link and follow the instructions.

Q: How do I transfer money between my currency accounts in different currencies?

A: To transfer money between your accounts in different currencies, log in to your LeuPay account, go to Transfers → Balance Transfers and follow the instructions.

Q: Can I be issued a paper confirmation of my IBAN?

A: You can download your account details online from your LeuPay account. Go to Accounts → IBAN and click on the PDF file icon [] to download the confirmation for your IBAN. If you would like to request a paper confirmation of your IBAN, please contact our Customer Support.

Q: What are the expenses and fees for my LeuPay account maintenance?

A: There are no fees or other expenses for your account opening and maintenance. You get a free IBAN for all the currency accounts you open. All of our financial services that are subject to fees are listed and described in our LeuPay Tariff, which you can access from your account.

Q: How can I verify my account? What documents do I need to provide?

A: To verify your identity log in to your LeuPay account and from the account home screen, press the LeuPay Basic “Pending verification” link. A new tab “Verification of personal clients” will be displayed. To proceed with your verification you have to execute the following steps:

- To upload a copy of your ID document and one of the following- to upload a document, which proves your address; or, to fund your LeuPay account via a bank transfer; or, to fund your LeuPay account via a verified, stored in your LeuPay debit/credit card;
- To order a LeuPay MasterCard Card and activate it upon receiving it;

After performing these two steps, your personal details will be validated and your LeuPay account will be verified.

Q: How do I change my log in email or my mobile number registered to my LeuPay account?

A: To change your user email or your mobile number registered to your LeuPay account, go to Profile → My user Details or to Wallet details and follow the instructions.

Q: I don’t get an SMS text message when I try to change my mobile number?

A: Please note, that the SMS will be sent to the mobile number with which your LeuPay account is currently registered, not to your new mobile number.

Q: I have changed my permanent address. How do I change it in my LeuPay Account?

A: If you have changed your permanent address, please contact our Customer Support.

Q: What is GateKeeper Mobile App?

A: GateKeeper Mobile App allows you to generate and use unique verification codes for access to your LeuPay account and for verification of all your operations, directly in your smartphone. GateKeeper codes are unique numerical combinations used to authenticate certain operations like log ins, money transfers, change of details, etc. The application is an alternative to the SMS verification and is free to download and use.

Q: How can I switch my authentication method from SMS to GateKeeper Mobile App?

A: To switch your authentication method from SMS to GateKeeper mobile app, simply log in to your LeuPay Account, go to Profile → Мy User details → Authentication method, choose via Mobile App (GateKeeper) and follow the instructions.

Q: Can I switch back my authentication method from GateKeeper Mobile App to SMS?

A: You can switch back your authentication method from GateKeeper Mobile App to SMS at any time. Simply log in to your LeuPay Account, go to Profile → Мy User details → Authentication method, choose via SMS and follow the instructions.

Q: I have deleted my LeuPay account from the GateKeeper Mobile App and can’t log in to my LeuPay Account? What should I do?

A: If you have deleted your LeuPay account from the GateKeeper Mobile App, please contact our Customer Support.

Q: How do I activate my LeuPay account, if it’s been blocked?

A: If you have blocked your LeuPay account and you wish to activate it again, you can do it online from the account home page of your LeuPay account.
If your LeuPay account has been blocked by the Issuer, please contact our Customer Support.

Q: How can I block my LeuPay account?

A: If you decide to block your LeuPay account, you can do so online from the Account page of your LeuPay account, or via LeuPay mobile app.

Q: How can I terminate my LeuPay account?

A: If you would like to permanently close your LeuPay account, please contact our Customer Support.

Money transfers

Q: How can I send money to someone?

A:

You can send money to another person in several different ways:

1) You can make a bank transfer
2) If the recipient is a LeuPay Client, you can send him/her money using one of the following:

  • Recipient’s email
  • Recipient’s mobile number
  • Recipient’s account number at LeuPay
  • Recipient’s client number

Q: How can I do an outbound bank transfer?

A: In order to make an outbound bank transfer, simply log in to your LeuPay account and go to Transfers → Bank Transfers.

Note: Bank transfers are accessible only for verified LeuPay users. If your account type is LeuPay Basic, you should verify your identity in order to be able to make outbound bank transfers and benefit from higher transfer limits.

Q: How long does it take to process a bank transfer?

A: Processing times depend on the type of transfer.
SEPA transfers take between 1-2 business days.
SWIFT transfers take between 3-5 business days.

Q: I made a transfer to a wrong IBAN, what should I do?

A: If you have made a transfer to a wrong IBAN:
1) Log in to your LeuPay account and from the main Menu go to Transactions.
2) Find the transfer in your Transactions page and submit a request for reversal.

We will do our best to successfully process your request. However, please be advised that in such cases we cannot give a guarantee for the outcome.

Q: What is the maximum amount allowed for an outbound transfer to another LeuPay client?

A: The maximum amount allowed for an outbound transfer to another LeuPay client depends on your LeuPay account type. For more information, please log in to your LeuPay account and check the Tariff.

Q: Where can I see my IBANs to which I can receive transfers in different currencies?

A: All your IBANs are available in your LeuPay Account. You can access them from the home page of your LeuPay account by clicking on the „View all accounts” link or by going to the Accounts tab in your LeuPay account.

Q: What is a Standing order?

A: A standing order is a single payment order with which you can set regular payments to be executed from your account over a certain period of time (i.e. every week, once a month, once every two months, etc.)

Q: How can I make a standing order?

A: You can set up a standing order in your online account - from menu Transfers. Log in to your LeuPay account, go to menu Transfers and activate your standing order from tab Internal Transfers, tab Bank Transfers, or from tab Standing orders.

Q: Where can I view my existing standing orders?

A: You can view your existing standing orders online in your account – menu Transfers, tab Standing orders.

Q: Can I cancel a Standing order I made?

A: Yes, you can cancel and edit your Standing orders. Just log in to your LeuPay account and go to menu Transfers, tab Standing orders.

Q: Can I close the accounts I no longer use?

A:

Yes, you can close an account you no longer use or need if it fulfills all of the following requirements:

  • the account has a 0 balance;
  • the account doesn’t have a linked with it card;
  • the account is not selected as a default account for internal transfers in its currency.

To close an account log in to your LeuPay account, go to Accounts → Status and click on Close.

Q: What is "automatic withdrawal"?

A: The automatic withdrawal is a function, which allows funds to be automatically withdrawn from your accounts when the funds in one of them are not enough for a transaction to be processed. The function can be managed for each account individually. To set your individual preferences for automatic withdrawal log in to your LeuPay account, go to Accounts and use the Settings icon for each account.

Q: How can I change my default account for internal transfers for a selected currency?

A: To be able to change the “default account for internal transfers” setting of an account you are required to have at least two accounts in the same currency.
To set your individual preferences for default accounts for internal transfers, log in to your LeuPay account, go to Accounts and use the Settings icon .

Q: How many LeuPay accounts can I open?

A: The maximum number of accounts you can open in you LeuPay Personal Account is 25.

Funding

Q: How can I fund my LeuPay account?

A:

You can fund your LeuPay account quickly and easily via a bank transfer or via a credit/debit card. To fund your LeuPay Account:
1) Log in to your account;
2) Go to Funding;
3) Choose one of the funding options and follow the instructions.

Q: How can I raise the transaction limits of my LeuPay account?

A: The limits set for all LeuPay accounts depend on the account type.
If your account is LeuPay Basic, you can avail of higher limits for all LeuPay services only by verifying your identity. Simply log in to your LeuPay account and from the account home page click on the Pending verification link.

Q: Can I change the funding limits of my LeuPay account by using a stored card?

A: You can raise your funding limits by verifying your stored card. All you need to do is log in to your LeuPay account, go to Profile → Wallet details → Stored cards, click Verify and follow the instructions.
If your account type is LeuPay Basic, you can also raise the limits of your stored card by verifying your identity.

Q: I can’t store my debit/credit card to my LeuPay account. What should I do?

A:

In order to successfully add and store a debit/credit card to your LeuPay account, please make sure that you have entered correct information in all required fields.

Please note, that you will not be able to store a debit/credit card to your LeuPay account in the following cases:

  • There’s incorrect information entered or there are empty fields. Please make sure that you enter your correct card details.
  • Your card type is not supported. You can link only cards with the logo of MasterCard, Maestro, VISA, Visa Electron and VPAY.
  • Your card is already linked to another LeuPay account.
  • You have exceeded the limit for maximum allowed number of stored cards to your LeuPay account.

If none of the above applies, please contact Customer Support.

Q: Where can I see the verification code when verifying a stored card?

A: You can find the verification code in the statement from your bank. The code will appear in the transaction description. The transaction description will have the following content “LEUPAY.EU CODE****”.

Q: How can I delete a stored card from my LeuPay account?

A: To delete a stored card from your LeuPay account, log in, go to Profile → Wallet details → Stored Card and delete the card you wish to remove from your LeuPay account.

Q: Can I store one and the same credit/debit card to more than one LeuPay accounts?

A: One credit/debit card can be linked to one LeuPay account only.

Q: How many cards can I store in my LeuPay account?

A: If you have a LeuPay Basic Account, the maximum allowed number of stored cards is 2.
If your account is LeuPay Standard, the maximum allowed number of stored cards is 5.
